Dinner Party Worthy - Shrimp Pasta!

This dish from How Sweet It Is is a winner in our book.

    Pasta with Spicy Shrimp

It pulls together very quickly and has so much flavor -- your guests will be impressed.

A little admission here -- I have a difficult time holding a conversation while I'm cooking.  So I get a little flustered when my dinner guests follow me into the kitchen because I just can't multitask like that.

But I may have found a solution!  This pasta dish is so easy.  Everything is prepped ahead of time.

All you need to do is toss it all into a skillet and cook until the shrimp is done.

    Minimal thinking required!

You gotta try this and let me know how it goes for you!  I do believe a dinner party is on the horizon for us....

    ENJOY!

Slightly adapted from recipe on How Sweet It Is
Fast and easy spicy shrimp pasta dish with loads of flavor. I say it makes enough for 4, but the reality is that my husband and I devoured the entire thing in one sitting! Remarkably good! Worthy of a dinner party!

    Ingredients

    • 1 Lb. Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
    • ⅓ Cup Olive oil
    • ¼ Cup Parmesan cheese
    • 4 Cloves Garlic (minced)
    • 2 Teaspoons Brown sugar
    • 2 Teaspoons Soy sauce
    • 1 Teaspoon Crushed red pepper
    • ¾ Lb. Uncooked pasta (I prefer spaghetti or linguine)

    Directions

    Marinate the Shrimp
    Step 1
Mix together olive oil, parmesan, brown sugar, soy, garlic and crushed red pepper. Add shrimp, toss to coat. Place in fridge for at least 30 minutes (or even overnight).
    Cook Pasta
    Step 2
Cook the pasta al dente according to directions.
    Assemble the meal
    Step 3
While pasta is boiling, heat skillet over medium high heat. Dump entire bowl of shrimp and marinade. Cook shrimp just until pink (don't overcook...careful!). As soon as the pasta is done and drained, dump it into the skillet with the shrimp. Toss to mix. Serve topped with some parmesan and enjoy!
