Nutella hot chocolate!
Why has it taken me so long to discover this?
I first tried Nutella, probably, 15-16 years ago. I was warned that it was addictive.
We'd spread it on chewy Italian rolls. Dangerous. Damn you, Nutella!
It didn't take long for me to recognize the slippery slope I was headed towards. So Nutella rarely found its way onto my grocery list.
BUT, I heard about using Nutella as the base for hot chocolate and just had to try it.
So glad I did. It's so easy.
Versatile too! Jackie and I enjoyed various versions -- plain, with regular whiskey, with cinnamon whiskey, unsweetened whipped cream, sweetened whipped cream.
It was allllll good!

Nutella Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 2 Cups milk
- ⅓ Cup nutella
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- unsweetened whipped cream (for topping)
- cinnamon (if desired, for sprinkling)
Note
So many ways to modify this basic Nutella Hot Chocolate!
One of my favorites is to add a shot of whiskey. Jack Daniels is delicious. Fireball Whiskey is pretty good too!
