    Cranberry Smash!
    Serves 2
    Prep time 5 minutes
    Meal type Beverage
    Occasion Christmas
Slightly adapted from recipe on About Food
A festive cocktail perfect for the holidays! Sweet, colorful and refreshing. Fast and easy to make. Treat your guests to this cheerful, sparkling beverage! It's a perfect way to start a holiday gathering.

    Ingredients

    • ½ Cup Fresh cranberries
    • 4 Ounces Vodka or Bourbon
    • 8 Fresh mint leaves
    • Juice from ½ of a lime
    • 1 Tablespoon Brown sugar
    • 10 Ounces Ginger ale
    • Ice

    Note

Confession:  I don't own a cocktail shaker.  Until Santa brings me one, I muddle the ingredients in a wide bottom bowl and then scoop it all into a plastic jar with a lid.  Fill with ice and shake, shake, shake.  It works just fine for me!

    Directions

    Step 1
In a shaker, muddle the cranberries, mint, lime juice and brown sugar
    Step 2
    Add the vodka or bourbon.
    Step 3
Fill shaker with ice. Shake mixture until thoroughly chilled.
    Step 4
Divide mixture into two cocktail glasses. Fill with ginger ale and enjoy!
