These grown-up chocolate chip cookies are sure to please with a delightful explosion of salt mixed with the sweetness of the chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- ⅓ Cup rough-chopped unsalted, roasted peanuts
- 1 Cup flour
- ½ Teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ Teaspoon baking soda
- ½ Cup sugar
- ½ Cup brown sugar (packed)
- ¼ Cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- ⅓ Cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ Teaspoon course sea salt

Directions

Lightly toast nuts by placing on cookie sheet in preheated 350ºF oven for about 7 minutes. | |

In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside. | |

Mix butter and sugars at medium speed in large bowl for approximately 2 minutes, until fluffy. add vanilla and egg. Mix until combined. | |

Turn mixer to low speed, add flour mixture to egg/sugar mixture until combined. Stir in nuts, chocolate chips and salt. | |
Step 5 | |
On greased cookie sheet, drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly browned (about 10 minutes). Allow cookies to cool slightly before removing them from cookie sheet and placing on wire rack to cool completely. |
