    • 2 Ounces rye whiskey
    • 1 Ounce fresh pink (or red) grapefruit juice
    • ½ Ounce fresh lime juice

    • 2 Dashes bitters
    • 1 sage leaf
    • ice

    Directions

    Step 1
Fill cocktail shaker ½ full with ice
Add remaining ingredients (except for sage leaf)
    Shake until thoroughly chilled
    Pour all into a glass
Garnish with sage leaf (slap a couple times to bring out the flavor)

I think it would be. I'd do everything up to the point of shaking. I'd shake and serve as needed. Let me know how it goes!

I used the basic Angostura Aromatic Bitters for this recipe. I've since got my hands on some grapefruit bitters, though, and I think that would be brilliant!

Love this recipe!! I recently made a sage simple syrup on my blog and have only been using it with gin - what a great idea to use it with rye!! I will be trying this!! :)
