Brace yourself -- We're starting our move back to the U.S.

I'm excited about a lot of things - our house, the snow, exploring Colorado, Amazon delivery . . .

Actually, the Amazon delivery thing is towards the top of my list of things I'm looking forward to.

Of course Amazon has its Italian version.  But once you add the VAT (value added tax), that pretty much takes all the fun out of having Amazon deliver to your house in Italy.

The alternative is going through the military postal system.  You order, you track . . . to a point . . . and then you pray it gets through Italian customs and makes it to your mailbox! That's what we've been doing for the last several years.

So -- I'm excited to exercise my Amazon Prime membership in the U.S.

A meat thermometer will take the guesswork out of cooking that roast!  My new oven has a built-in thermometer.  This is the next best thing. Afterall, who really wants to risk overcooking an expensive Prime Rib Roast?  Not this girl!
